The Berlin Wall

The unexpected events of late 1989 made Christine realise how detached she was from her native Erfurt, in East Germany. The Berlin Wall falling allowed her early childhood to resurface and she found colour in the graffiti fragments that we chiselled in January 1990. ’The Colours of Freedom' collection was an important Coming-to-terms-with-the-Past - Vergangenheitsbewaltigung.
